Course name: Teen Health 7

Course Description: Teen Health 7 instructs students in a number of personal and social issues that are essential to being a well person. There are five principles that are stressed in every unit of study. The principles are:

  • Prevention is better than treatment!
  • Your health is made up of physical, mental and social well being.
  • Wellness is actively making positive choices.
  • Poor choices lead to negative consequences.
  • Living drug-free and practicing abstinence are essential for adolescent health.

Teen Health is taught using a variety of media and materials. Current videos are used to highlight content areas and provide insight. Technology is availed with all class handouts, assignments and resources being available with a dedicated website (www.timolson.com). Exams are created, modified and taken by students online using a web resource, Quiz Lab. (www.quizlab.com)
