Good morning students. In this lesson you will investigate communicable diseases. Proceed through all the steps and as you go, write down answers to the questions in each step on a piece of paper. Your paper will be collected at the end of the period.

Step One: Take the Microbes Quiz to find out what you know about communicable diseases. On your paper write one fact you learned from the quiz.

Step Three: The flu season is coming! Read this article and report how people can protect themselves from influenza.


Step Four: Pick one of these ideas: (A) Visit five of the sites below and write three important facts from each. or (B) Visit one site in depth and research the symptoms, treatment and complications of one disease.
